Abdul Alim's 44th death anniv today

The 44th death anniversary of eminent folk singer of the sub-continent Abdul Alim will be observed today (Thursday).

Different socio-cultural organisations of the country have chalked out programmes to mark the day. Abdul Alim Foundation will place wreath at the grave of the singer at Banani Graveyard in the city.

Discussion on the life and works of Abdul Alim will be held in the city and elsewhere in the country. Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar will broadcast programmes on the great singer. Newspapers will publish articles on the artiste.
