Admin razes two illegal brick kilns in Pabna

The Pabna district administration, following a directive from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), on Saturday demolished two large illegal brick kilns in Ishwardi upazila of the district.

After receiving a complaint related to illegal operation of the brick fields, the national anti-graft authority asked the Pabna district administration and Department of Environment (DoE) to conduct eviction drives immediately at the unauthorised establishments.

Local administration, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), police, Fire Department and DoE jointly took part in the drive that reclaimed around 20 acres of arable land, according to an ACC source.
