BGB-BGP joint patrol ends in Naf river

COX'S BAZAR, July 20: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Guard Police (BGP) of Myanmar conducted a joint patrol in the Naf River on Friday.

According to BGB sources, a joint team of 12 members of BGB and 13 members of BGP on two speed boats started the border patrol that continued from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the river.

Border guards of both the countries conducted the 11th joint patrol aimed at easing tension and keeping the existing friendly relationship normal in the border area.

Subedar Mohammad Nazrul Islam, in-charge of Damdamia Border Outpost (BOP), led the BGB members while Major Myint Htay, camp in-charge of Pyinphya BGP camp in Mongdaw, led the BGP side in the joint patrol.
