Chattogram road crashes kill two

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 13: Two persons including a child were killed in separate accidents in the city today.

In one incident a minor girl named Baby(4) died on the spot when a CNG -run three- wheeler hit their auto-rickshaw from behind near Chawkbazar. According to ASI of police Shilabrata Barua, posted at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, a mother was taking her two children home by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw. As they reached near Chawkbazar, another CNG auto hit it from behind. Baby Faria was dashed out of her mother's lap and died on the spot at 11.00 AM.

He said in another accident a man was killed in a factory in the city's Akbar Shah area in the afternoon. The worker, who could not be identified by police, was killed by a truck while he was sweeping the factory compound.

The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue. Chawkbazar police and Akbar Shah police were processing papers to file cases, the cop said.
