Cops nab 17 in anti-drug drives in city

Police in anti-drug drives on Saturday arrested 17 people from the city's Dakshinkhan area on charges of trading and consuming drugs, reports UNB.

Members of Dakshinkhan Police Station in association with Dog Squad of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted the joint drives at Kotbari, Faidabad, Choarirtek, Balumath, and Morghat areas. Police also recovered 237 Yaba pills and 500 grams hemp during the drive, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of DMP.
