Being concerned over growing incidents of sexual abuse, a coalition of six human rights (HR) organisations on Saturday placed a three-point demand, including formulation of a law, to prevent sexual harassment of women in the workplace.

At a press conference at Jatiya Press Club in the capital, the coalition called Gender Platform also demanded immediate implementation of a High Court directive to form a sexual harassment prevention committee at the workplaces until the law is formulated and the ILO convention 190 ratified.

The platform then made the three aforesaid demands to prevent sexual harassment of woman at workplace and other places.
