ICAB inks MoU with DU

ICAB president Adeeb Hossain Khan and DU Finance Department chairman Prof Md Kismatul Ahsan exchanging documents after signing the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at the Business Studies Faculty Conference Room of Dhaka University on Wednesday.

With a view to promoting chartered accountancy profession in the country, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Department of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday, according to a press release.

ICAB president Adeeb Hossain Khan and DU Finance Department chairman Prof Md Kismatul Ahsan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at the Business Studies Faculty Conference Room of DU.

DU vice-chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman, Business Studies Faculty dean Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, ICAB vice-president Mostafa Kamal and its council member AF Nesaruddin were present at the signing ceremony. Under the MoU, the students of the DU Finance Department, who complete their BBA and MBA programmes, will enjoy exemptions from some papers of chartered accountancy studies for entering into the ICAB professional programme.
