IU students stage demo demanding fee cut

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Apr 23 (UNB): A group of students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia demonstrated on the campus Tuesday demanding reduction in fees under different headings.

Several hundred students of different departments took part in the demonstration. The students blockaded the university's administrative building to press home their demand.

The agitating students threatened to continue their demonstration boycotting regular classes and examinations.

Later, the students went to the main entrance of the university and locked it around 2:00 pm. No university bus, car or motorcycle could leave the campus during their agitation.
