Police nab two Nigerians in Benapole

BENAPOLE, Sept 23 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained two Nigerians for entering the country without valid documents from Putkhali border area on Sunday morning.

The arrestees are Vitas Unnah (40) and OlatumdeTimothi (45), residents of Illia region of Nigeria.

Being tipped-off, the BGB team conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo for entering Bangladesh illegally from India, said Lt Col Imranulla Sarkar, commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion.

Later, they were handed over to Benapole Port Police and a case was filed in this connection, the officer added.
