Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday filed a case against five people including four government officials over forgery in allocation of a government plot in Purbachal project, reports UNB.

ACC Public Relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee said the accused colluded to allocate a 5-katha government plot (Purbachal project) in favour of an affected indigenous person, enabling it to be bought at a reduced price, through forgery and abusing power.

The beneficiary's identity, it turns out, was faked.

ACC Assistant Director GM Ahsanul Kabir filed the case with its integrated district office Dhaka-1 against the five people on charges of graft.

The accused are former additional land acquisition officer of Dhaka Deputy Commissioner (DC) office Md Afsar Ali Sheikh, former member (Estate) of RAJUK Md Rezaul Karim Torafdar, RAJUK's former caretaker engineer Mohammad Ali, former director (finance and accounts) of RAJUK Md Humayun Khan, and one Enina Begum hailing from Bogura.

According to the case, the incident took place during the period of July 21, 2002 to October 10, 2005.
