Truck kills woman in city

A woman was killed when a truck hit a rickshaw carrying her in Dhanmondi area of the capital on Friday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Masuda (35), wife of Mohammad Jamal and a nurse of a private clinic.

Sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police outpost, said the truck rammed the rickshaw carrying Masuda while she was going to visit one of her relatives at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital around 11:30 pm, leaving her critically injured.

Later, she was rushed to DMCH where doctors declared her dead.
