Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensing, Sylhet, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, reports UNB.

It may also occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls over the country in next 24 hours until 06:00 pm today (Saturday).

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Barishal divisions and the regions of Cumilla, Noakhali, Sandwip and Sitakunda and it may abate.

Day temperature may fall by (1-3) degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The country's highest temperature 39.0 degrees Celsius was recorded on Friday in Rajarhat and the lowest 25.0 degree at Madaripur.
