Bangabandhu killing masterminds to be tried: Mozammel

"Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are synonymous. One cannot be separated from the other. The Pakistani rulers wanted to suppress the voice of Bengalis but this was not possible because of the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ", said Liberation War Affairs' Minister A K M Mozammel Huq on Tuesday, reports BSS.

Mozammel was speaking at a meeting and dua mahfil titled `Bangabandhu and Bangladesh 'organiSed by the Ministry of Shipping at the National Museum in The city to observe the 44th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

He also said "Bangabandhu was a great leader. He has given us an independent country and constitution. Those who killed Bangabandhu directly have been tried. Masterminds behind the killing will be tried, too".
