Ex-MP Abdul Baten passes away

TANGAIL, Jan 21, 2019(BSS): Former member of parliament (MP) Khandaker Abdul Baten passed away at a city hospital on Monday morning.

He was 72.

Abdul Baten, who was elected MP from Tangail-6 constituency (Nagorpur-Delduar) in 2008 and 2014, had been suffering from old-age complications.

Baten, one of the Liberation War organisers, left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
