BRAHMANBARIA, Jul 20 (UNB): Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan alleged on Thursday that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has sided with the anti-liberation forces through supporting the quota reform movement.

"The main aim of the quota movement is to remove the freedom fighter quota. Abuses were hurled at Bangabandhu and freedom fighters during the movement. But Mirza Fakhrul hasn't protested it," he said.

The minister was talking to reporters at a restaurant in Sarail upazila in the afternoon.

About Mirza Fakhrul's remarks that the Prime Minister has made a U-turn over the quota issue, Shajahan said the anti-liberation forces are patronising the quota reform movement and Fakhrul is supporting them to make the Sheikh Hasina government embarrassed.
