Militants have targeted law enforcers: IGP

Inspector General of Police Dr M Javed Patwary said on Wednesday the militants have targeted the law enforcers as they have been entrusted with the task of ensuring security across the country, reports BSS.

"Militants are attacking the law enforcers around the world through 'lone wolf' system. The trend of lone wolf attacks has been increasing," he said.

The police chief said this while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with the newly-elected executive committee of Bangladesh Crime Reporters' Association (CRAB) at Police Headquarters.

He said activities of militants and terrorists are now under control but it is not possible to completely root out militancy.
