Speaker off to Netherlands to attend ICC programme

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has left here for the Netherlands to join the 'Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Rome Statute of the Criminal Court' to be arranged by the International Criminal Court (ICC), reports UNB.

High officials of the Parliament Secretariat, including Senior Secretary Dr Md Abdur Rob Howlader, saw her off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday, said a handout on Monday.

The Speaker will attend a symposium titled 'Enduring Value of the Rome Statute to Humanity' on Tuesday.
