Bangladesh National Football, now in Kolkata to play their away match of the Joint Qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023, have taken some special plans to face hosts India tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Salt Lake Stadium there, reports UNB.

After the day's training session, custodian of Bangladesh National Football team Ashraful Islam Rana said they have special plans for Indian team as well as for key players like Sunil Chhetri.

"The Indian team have some good players in the attacking zone and Sunil Chhetri is one of them. We have some special plans for them [India] and our defenders and goalkeepers worked hard to execute those plans," Rana told pressmen after their training session on Sunday.

Bangladesh team made a two-hour hard training session for the match at Yubo Bharati Training ground Sunday morning with physical exercises, training with ball, ball passing, set piece and goalkeeping under the supervision of Head Coach Jamie Day. The team also took part in swimming and recovery sessions in the afternoon

Bangladesh Team Manager Satyajit Das Rupu believed that they need to be more alert on scoring goal.

"We have missed several good chances against Qatar. We will also get chances against India. So we have to be more alert to utilise the chances," Rupu said.

Bangladesh put in Group E of FIFA, AFC Joint Qualification along with Qatar, Oman, India and Afghanistan.

The men in red and green started their campaign with a 0-1 goal defeat against Afghanistan in their first away match in the Tajik capital Dushanbe on September 10 and conceded a 0-2 defeat to Asian Champions Qatar in their first home match at a packed Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) on Thursday evening.

In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will play Oman on November 14 in Oman, Afghanistan on March 26 next year in Bangladesh, Qatar on March 31 in Qatar, India on June 4 in Bangladesh and Oman on June 9 in Bangladesh.
