BD U-16 women's footballers fly for Myanmar today

A 30-member Bangladesh U-16 Women's Football team will fly for Myanmar early today (Saturday) to participate in the Qualifying Round-2 of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship beginning there on February 27, reports UNB.

Bangladesh, which were placed in Group B of the Asian junior meet with China, the Philippines and hosts Myanmar, will play the Philippines on February 27 at 3pm (local time) at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalar.

In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will meet hosts Myanmar on March 1 at 6pm and will face China on March 3 at 3pm at the same venue.

At a pre-tour press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation on Wednesday, Bangladesh team captain Maria Manda said they want to qualify for the final around emerging group champions in the qualifying round.
