Better communication key to BD women's recent success

Bangladesh's women cricketers believe the inclusion of Anju Jain as the head coach has helped them step up their game, reports Cricbuzz.

Anju, who joined the women's national team after their debacle in South Africa, helped Bangladesh earn their maiden Asia Cup Twenty20 title in Malaysia and followed that by clinching the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers in Ireland.

According to members close to the women's cricket team, the inclusion of Anju to the coaching setup helped them as it had diminished the communication barrier to a great extent.

It had remained a major hindrance to outgoing coach David Capel as he failed to make the girls understand his plan of action in totality due to the language differences. With Anju in place, girls have been more receptive and participative in the team meetings.
