The residential camp of Bangladesh national football team will begin on August 23 for the joint qualification (Round-1) for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023, reports UNB.
After the camp, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will finalise the 23-member final squad on August 31.
The decision was taken at a BFF National Teams Committee meeting chaired by committee chairman and BFF vice-president Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, at Dhanmondi in the city on Monday.
Earlier, Bangladesh were put in Group E along with Qatar, Oman, neighbouring India and Afghanistan.
The committee also decided to send Bangladesh team to Tajikistan on September 01 on a nine-day training session, ahead of their first match against Afghanistan on September 10 in Tajik capital Dushanbe.
Boys will play two preparatory matches against two leading Tajik football clubs on September 03 and 05 during the training session.
Bangladesh will play their home match against Qatar on October 10, away match with India on Oct 15, away match against Oman on November 14 and home match with Afghanistan on March 26, away match with Qatar on March 31 Qatar and two home matches with India on June 4 and Oman on June 9.
Earlier on August 16, the BFF announced a 25-member preliminary team of Bangladesh national football for the meet.
