Gono Bishwabidyalay face SEU in final today

Gono Bishwabidyalay (University) will play final against Southeast University (SEU) in the United Group Faraaz Inter-University Gold Cup Football Tournament 2019 today (Monday) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, reports UNB.

The game will begin at 3:30 pm where State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel will be present as the chief guest.

Besides, Advocate Saifuzzaman Shikhor, MP, Youth and Sports Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, Harun-ur-Rashid, Director of United Power Generation & Distribution Co. Ltd. Nizamuddin Hasan Rashid, Chairman of Ha-Meem Group AK Azad, Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation Towhidur Rahman CIP will be present as special guests.

Earlier, Southeast University reached the final crushing Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) by 4-1 goals in the first semi-final on October 12 while Gono Bishwabidyalay reached the final by eliminating International University of Business, Agriculture & Technology (IUBAT) by 3-0 goals in the 2nd semifinal on October 14 at the Kamalpur Stadium in the city.
