Nahida spots into top five among T20 bowlers

Bangladesh claimed the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifiers title in the Netherlands with an all-win record, which mostly set up by their bowlers. It was reflected in the latest ICC Women's T20 Rankings.

Nahida Akter advanced eight spots to get number five spot, Rumana Ahmed moved eight spots up for number 13 and Salma Khatun rose up three places to number 17, joint with India's Anuja Patil, reports UNB.

Bangladesh's top performers in extent of bowling in the eight-team qualifiers tournament made big moves up in the International Cricket Council (ICC)'s rankings chart that updated on Saturday last.

Rumana and Nahida also recorded their top marks in the ratings points with 599 and 559 respectively.

Among others Panna Ghosh and Fahima Khatun made significant upwards strides outside the top 20.
