Third South Asian Archery opens

The Blazer BD BKSP 3rd South Asian Archery Championship, organised by Bangladesh Archery Federation, was inaugurated on Saturday at BKSP in Savar, reports UNB.

Director General of BKSP Brigadier General M Shamsur Rahman inaugurated the four-day meet in the afternoon.

General Secretary of Bangladesh Federation Kazi Rajibuddin Ahmed Chapal was also present on the occasion.

The qualifying round of the five-nation meet will begin today (Sunday).

A total of 65 archers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and two teams from hosts Bangladesh were taking part in the men's and women's Reserve and Compound events for the 10 gold, 10 silver an 10 bronze medals at stake.

Meanwhile, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka arrived in the capital on Friday while Pakistan team reached the capital on Saturday.
