CHATTOGRAM, Sept 23: Aramit Thai Aluminium Ltd, one of the leading aluminum profile producers of the country, has taken a project to triple its annual production to 15, 000 metric tonnes (MT).
Currently, production of the factory at Kalurghat heavy industrial area is 5,000 MT per year. The company will now set up two more production units as part of its expansion plan.
Company insiders disclosed the plan on Sunday, saying that the new production units of the aluminium profile will be set up on the huge site of the existing plant.
The Aramit Thai Aluminium Ltd organised a sales festival at the Chittagong Club on Sunday when nearly 1,000 businesses and fabricators were present.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Company Secretary of Aramit Thai Aluminium Ltd Syed Quamruzzaman chaired the event while COO of Aramit Ltd Farid Uddin Ahmed, COO of Aramit Cement Ltd Md Shah Alam, Head of Sales of Aramit Thai Aluminium Amir Ali and AGM (accounts) of the company Shahriar Hossain spoke on the occasion.
Officials at the Aramit Thai Aluminum Limited said that the first unit of the company was set up in 2002 and the second unit in 2010, reaching the annual production capacity to 5, 000 MT.
Now it will establish two more plants with their total annual production capacity of 10, 000 MT. They said the product of the company has earned reputation due to its improved, long-lasting quality and standard of service.
As many as 142 dealers and fabricators from 11 categories have been awarded prizes of major sales centres across the country.
Al Madina Thai has become the best centre with Khagrachari Thai second best and Aziz Glass the third best centres.
