GP dominates turnover chart

Grameenphone (GP) dominated the Dhaka Stock Exchange turnover chart on Sunday while ten most-traded companies accounted for 40 per cent transactions.

GP, dominated the turnover chart after a long-time as the government came forward to resolve spat between the telecom regulator and GP over claims of unpaid dues.

The government and top mobile phone operator have reached a consensus over settling the long disputed audit claims amicably which made investors optimistic, said a leading broker.

According to statistics about 1.07 million shares of GP were traded, generating a turnover of nearly Tk 387 million, which was 12.70 per cent of the day's total turnover.
