Guardian Life appoints new DMD

Mohammad Shazzadul Karim has been promoted as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Guardian Life Insurance Limited.

Prior to the promotion, he was Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of the company, said a statement.

Shazzad joined at Guardian Life Insurance Limited as Chief Operating Officer and SEVP in 2014. He has in-depth experience inmanaging various functional departments.During his tenure as COO he initiated and led the monumental Guardian-BracBima (GBB) that opened doors of microinsurance to over 7 million beneficiaries of BRAC.

He started his insurance career at ALICO Bangladesh as Management Trainee in 1998.

He holds an MBA with major in Management and also obtained his post-graduation with honors in Accounting, from University of Dhaka.
