Mercantile Bank opens new branch

The Mercantile Bank Limited opened its 139th branch at Arambag in Dhaka on Thursday. AKM Shaheed Reza, Chairman of the bank, inaugurated the new branch as the chief guest while Md Abdul Hannan, Vice Chairman of the bank, was present as special guest. Bank's Managing Director & CEO Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury delivered his welcome speech on the opening ceremony. — Statement

AGM approves

The 30th annual general meeting (AGM) of the United Finance Limited was held at the Dhaka Ladies Club on Wednesday. The company earned an after-tax profit of Tk 276 million in 2018 (Jan-Dec). The meeting approved cash dividend of Tk 1.00 per share for the year 2018. Imran Ahmed, Chairman of the company, presided over the annual general meeting.
