"Tough actions against the loan defaulters is a must to address the growing loan default culture and the government should amend laws so that the defaulters cannot take any legal protection against the stringent actions," the Premier Bank chairman said adding Bangladesh will be an affluent country if such menacing loan default culture is ended.

Advisor of the bank Muhammed Ali said if the disbursed loan is monitored with due diligence, then there is no possibility of loan default.

"The borrowers' profile and capacity should be assessed properly ahead of disbursing loan, so that the lenders' money is not wasted," Muhammed Ali, a veteran banker said.

Customers can download the 'pmoney' app from the google play store or apple store. Not only customers can use the app on smartphone but also on desktop as web version.
