President & CEO of NBP is in town

President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Mr. Arif Usmani is now in Dhaka on an official tour alongwith other senior officials. during his 3-day visit, he will attend bilateral meetings with high officials of local regulators including Governor of Bangladesh Bank (BB) and other senior officials. He will also meet the existing and potential customers to explore future business opportunities in Bangladesh market. The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is the largest public sector commercial bank and second largest bank in Pakistan in terms of balance sheet (BS) size with a total asset base of PKR 2.80 trillion (equivalent to USD 20.20 billion) and accounting for 11 per cent of total industry assets. The bank has been nominated as a Domestic Systemically Important Bank by the State Bank of Pakistan and has been rated AAA/A1+ (the highest rating for a local bank by both PACRA Credit Rating and JCR-VIS Credit Rating) with a stable outlook. Mr. Usmani started his career with Citi Pakistan in 1981 in the Corporate Banking Group and since then held a number of positions. He has over 35 years of experience across several geographic markets and areas in various banking disciplines, including a number of critical management positions in the Asia Pacific region. In 1994, Mr. Usmani was posted to Singapore and Asia Pacific region, where for five years he held a number of critical positions in different countries including Hong Kong and Singapore. — Statement
