S. S. Steel topped the weekly turnover chart of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) following investors' increased participation.
In last week, S. S. Steel featured a total turnover of above Tk 381.80 million and grabbed 10.32 per cent of the exchange's weekly turnover.
Of five sessions of last week, the company's share price rose for three sessions on the DSE. At the end of the week, the company's share price closed at Tk 28.30 each which was 2.90 per cent higher than the closing price of the previous week.
Meanwhile, the company has reported its EPS of Tk. 0.65 for January-March 2019 against Tk. 0.45 for January-March 2018. The EPS was Tk. 1.61 for July 2018-March 2019 as against Tk. 1.03 for July 2017-March 2018.
Of other turnover leaders, United Power Generation & Distribution Company grabbed 3.47 per cent of the DSE's weekly turnover by featuring a turnover of Tk 128.50. The company's share price rose for all sessions in last week. At the end of the week, the company's share price closed at Tk 343.80 each.
National Life Insurance Company featured a turnover of Tk 96.50 million and grabbed 2.61 per cent of the DSE's weekly turnover. Of five sessions of last week, the company's share price advanced in four sessions and closed at Tk 221.60 each on Thursday.
British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company posted a turnover of above Tk 9.91 million which was 2.48 per cent of the weekly turnover.
Of other turnover leaders, Square Pharmaceuticals posted a turnover of above Tk 86.90 million followed by JMI Syringes & Medical Devices Tk 85.20 million, Eastern Cables Tk 82.30 million, BRAC Bank Tk 81.60 million, SK Trims Tk 70.20 million and Aman Feed Tk 63.60 million.
