Two FIs recommend lower dividend

The amount of dividends recommended by two financial institutions declined for the year ended on December 31, 2018 compared to previous year. The companies are FAS Finance & Investments and Uttara Finance and Investments. In last week, FAS Finance & Investments has recommended 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018. The company disbursed 10 per cent stock dividend in previous year. The company has also reported consolidated EPS of Tk. 0.85 and consolidated NAV per share of Tk. 14.19 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk. 1.00 (restated), and Tk. 13.34 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year. The company's EPS, however, rose for January-March, 2019 compared to same period of the previous year.
