DMCB receives BIZZ AWARD from US organisation

World Confederation of Business (WORLDCOB), a US-based international organisation, has handed over the BIZZ AWARD-2019 to Dhaka Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd. (DMCB).

BIZZ AWARD is an international awards programme which offers recognition of business excellence in different countries across the globe, says a statement.

The DMCB was selected to receive the prestigious award considering its good business leadership quality, quality service, innovation, management systems, good governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

DMCB Chairman Group Captain (Retd) Abu Zafar Chowdhury received the award at a programme in the United States on behalf of the co-operative bank recently.

The WORLDCOB was founded on September 9, 2004, in the city of Houston, Texas, USA, under the name of MPBM, Co.

The primary mission of WORLDCOB is to promote business development worldwide, recognising and boosting the growth of leading businesses and business people in more than 130 countries across the world.

The DMCB started its journey after Bangladesh's Liberation War in 1971 aiming to improve the socio-economic condition of the members of the society through the extension of security-free investments for their small and medium enterprises.

Currently, the DMCB is running operations with 133 branches and three sub-branches located in different parts of the country both in rural and urban areas.
