FBCCI for product diversification

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) emphasised on Saturday for product diversification and increase their exports to the potential Asian markets.

It also discussed to export readymade garment (RMG) to the Middle East countries in cooperation with the export promotion bureau (EPB) and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

The suggestions of the FBCCI were made at its standing committee meeting relating to the ministry of foreign affairs (Asia & Pacific) at the board room of the apex trade body.

The committee members underscored the need for proper training of the workers going abroad to meet the demand of huge workforce in different countries.

They also discussed about necessary cooperation for the promising entrepreneurs to export handicrafts, lungi and other products besides RMG.

Director in- Charge of the committee Sharita Millat presented the detailed future plan of the committee.

Chairman of the standing committee Mehdi Ali presided over the meeting.

Directors of FBCCI KhandokarRuhul Amin and Hafez Harun-Or-Roshid also participated in the discussion.

Members from different sectors were also present.
