Kamal urges ROK businesses to investment in Bangladesh

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has invited the business people of Republic of Korean (ROK) to come up with investment in Bangladesh, reports BSS.

He said Bangladesh is now an attractive investment destination in the globe in terms of population, market, facilities, etc.

"Bangladesh is offering most attractive investment incentives to the foreigners in many sectors," he said while briefing the head and chief executives of 15 South Korean business houses in Seoul on Tuesday, according to a finance ministry press release.

Mentioning Bangladesh as the land of opportunity, Kamal invited them to visit the South Asian country and find out their new ventures here.

"Bangladesh with a large number population is a big market for business," he told them.

The finance minister briefed them about the Bangladesh's excellent achievement in the socio-economic sectors during the last 10 years.

Underscoring the importance of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for Bangladesh, he pointed out the country is one of the most attractive investment destination in the world.

Terming South Korea as a good and long lasting friend of Bangladesh, Kamal urged the ROK businessmen to come forward to invest in Bangladesh and grasp the unparalleled benefit.

The Korean business persons attending the meeting expressed their keen interest about Bangladesh market and assured the finance minister to explore the opportunities prevailing in the country.
