Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has said that one-stop service will be set up at the industrial estates to ensure necessary government services there speedily.
"One-stop centers will act to provide government services more effectively to help flourish the potential industrial sectors," he said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of 'Baishakhi Fair-1426' in the city on Sunday, reports BSS.
The 10-day Baishakhi fair will end on April 23.
Chaired by BSCIC Chairman M Mostaque Hossain, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid, Industries Secretary M Abdul Halim, Cultural Affairs Secretary Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal and Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Samity President Mirza Nurul Gani Shovon spoke on the occasion.
The fair will remain open till April 23 from 9:00am to 9:00pm every day.
Mentioning that the government has been working sincerely to address the problems in the industrial sector, Humayun stressed the need for speedily addressing the problems of the industrial entrepreneurs sidetracking the bureaucratic tangles.
Kamal Ahmed Majumder said arrangement for display and sales of small and cottage products should have to be made at all international airports to attract foreign buyers.
He also stressed the need for making available financial support for the small and cottage entrepreneurs.
During the function, 'Karushilpi Award-1425' was given to nine best craftsmen out of 65 participants through competition.
