PRAN signs $5.0m deal with Netherlands food group

PRAN, a local food processor, signed on Saturday an agreement with the Netherlands-based Engel Foreign Food to export its products worth US$ 5.0 million.

Engel Foreign Food Group, a popular chain shop of the Netherlands, will purchase PRAN products including noodles, juice and confectionery items in next one year under the deal, said a press release.

The agreement was signed between the two companies at PRAN-RFL Centre.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, and Wim Engel, CEO of Engel Group, led their respective companies at the agreement signing ceremony.

Mizanur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer at PRAN Export Ltd, said demand for their products is gradually increasing in the European countries.

"We started exporting our products to the Netherlands in 2017. For the first time, we will export aloe vera juice to Engel Group this year. This juice will be available in 500 outlets of various famous super shops in the Netherlands, Germany, France and Poland," he said.
