SBAC Bank to focus on small businesses

South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce (SBAC) Bank Limited plans to foray into manufacturing and small businesses to create employment as the bank enters its seventh year, the bank's chairman said Wednesday.
The new generation bank also wants to invest more in rural areas to make rural economy vibrant, he said.
"While we are entering seventh year, now our priority of investment is small manufacturing sector and rural area for sustainable development and employment generation," Chairman of SBAC Bank S. M. Amzad Hossian said at a programme in Dhaka.
Replying to a question, Amzad Hossain said SBAC will go public under the fixed price method.
Presided over by Managing Director and CEO of the bank,Md. Golam Faruque, the bank's director Mohammad Nawaz and Shakhawat Hossain, independent director Dr. Sayed Hafizur Rahman, sponsor shareholder Motiur Rahman, additional managing director Mostafa Jalal Uddin Ahmed, DMD Tariqul Islam Chowdhury and Md. Mamunur Rashid Molla attended the programme.
