The Bangladesh Post Office (BPO) has issued four commemorative philatelic postage stamps, souvenir sheets, an envelope and a data card marking the 2018 FIFA World Cup, reports bdnews24.com.
"Although we lag in football, we are ahead in cricket. Hopefully, we will go to the World Cup in the future," said Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar while releasing the stamps in Dhaka on Thursday.
At the event, four stamps worth Tk 10 each, two souvenir sheets of Tk 50 each, an envelope of Tk 10 and a data card worth Tk 5 have been published.
Postal tickets, souvenir sheets, envelopes and data cards are being sold from Dhaka GPO's Philatelic Bureau on Thursday. Later, these postal stamps will be sold in all post offices.
