CHATTOGRAM, Oct 26: Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) arrested 10 gamblers from the Boat Maintenance Workshop area at Bazarghata in the port city Chattogram last night.
The arrestees are identified as Nur Hossain (60), son of Abdul Hakim, Abul Kalam (35), son of Ledu Meah, Md Selim (35), son of Md Yousuf, Md Sheikh Ahamod (35), son of Fazal Karim, Md Belal Hossain (30), son of Haji Shah Alam, Md Idris (45), son of Abul Kashem, Md Piar ahamod (42), son of Khaer Ahamod, Mohammed Idris Meah (35), son of Mofajjal Hossain, Abdul Mabud (40), son of Abdus Sabur and Md Sekandar (47) son of Md Nobi.
Sources said, acting on secret information, a team of BCG raided the nearby area of Boat Maintenance Workshop area at Bazarghata in the port city Chattogram and nabbed the gamblers from the spot.
The team also recovered mobile phone sets and money from the arrested persons.
