10 injured in roof collapse in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 2 (UNB): At least ten workers were injured when the roof of an under-construction mosque collapsed on them in Khamarpara area of the city on Sunday.

Local people said the roof of the under-construction mosque collapsed on the workers while they were working at the 1st floor of the two-storey building, leaving ten workers injured.

On information, police and a fire service unit rushed to the spot and rescued the victims.

Meanwhile, Rangpur City Corporation mayor Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhantu and deputy commissioner Farid Ahmed visited injured at the hospital and assured them of proper treatment.
