NILPHAMARI, Aug 25: To provide uninterrupted electricity supply to agriculture and industries a 100mw electricity generating plant is to be build very shortly in Syedpur.
Sources said in this regard all preparations have been completed in last December. At present there is a 20mw electricity plant in Syedpur. The government has taken the initiative to utilise the land, infrastructure and other facilities now existing in Syedpur 20mw plant.
While contacted Executive Engineer of Syedpur plant S.M. Wazed Ali said the Ministry of Power and Mineral Resources has already completed the preparations including DPP.
The new plant may go into production within 2015.
