1.0m children to get vitamin A capsule in Magura

MAGURA, July 09: A total of 10,05,588 children are going to be fed Vitamin A plus capsule in Magura on July 14.

Among 10,05,588 children, 4,25,796 children will be fed vitamin A in Sadar upazila while 1,81,461 in Sreepur upazila, 1,78,784 in Shalikha upazila and 2,19,547 in Mohammadpur upazila will be fed vitamin A capsule .

Among 10,05,588 children 1,02,355 aged between 6-11 months will be fed vitamin A blue capsule while 9,03,233 children aged between 1 - 5 years will be fed vitamin A red capsule.

The programme will be run in 936 outreach centre while 5 mobile centre. To make the programme a success 241 workers, 1,882 volunteers and 132 supervisors will be deployed.

In observance of vitamin A plus campaign of Magura health department, a press conference was arranged at Magura Sadar Hospital conference room on Sunday evening with Magura civil surgeon Munshi Md Sadullah in the chair.

Among others Dr Shubrata Kumar Biswas and Magura Press Club General Secretary Shamim Ahmed khan were present.
