121 families brought under power network in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, Sept 14 (BSS): About 121 families of Shibnagar village under Sadar upazila in the district have been brought under rural electrification network by Netrakona Palli Bidyut Samity (NPBS) on Saturday.

A simple function was also held at the village on this occasion.

Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy MP formally inaugurated the rural electrification programme at the village as the chief guest.

General Manager of NPBS Abu Taher said we brought an area of 2.25 kilometres under rural electrification network spending Taka about 2.16 million.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy minister said a long-cherished demand of the local people have already been fulfilled by bringing the village under the rural electrification network as they could now use the electricity for improving their lifestyles.
