13 Bangladeshis held at Benapole

JESSORE, Apr 9: Thirteen Bangladeshis were detained from Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station early Thursday.

Border Guard Bangladesh men detained the Bangladeshis including nine women while they were going to India illegally, said Shamsur Rahman, in-charge, Putkhali camp, 23 Border Guard Battalion.

The BGB camp in-charge told that the Bangladeshis were picked up by the BGB men from Putkhali border while they were attempting to go to India without any legal documents.

They were handed over to Benapole port station police, he added.
