142 youths get loan from DYD in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, May 7 (BSS): A total of 142 youths of Fulchhari upazila in the district got loan of Tk 3.55 million (35.50 lakh) from the Department of Youth Development (DYD) on Wednesday.

The main objective of the loan disbursement was to help the unemployed youths be self-reliant economically through creating working opportunities to them, office sources said.

A simple function organised by youth office of the upazila in the afternoon with deputy speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah formally handed over the cheques of Tk 3.55 million to 142 youths as the chief guest at a function arranged on the occasion at Fulchhari upazila parishad premises.
