15 injured in a clash in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Apr 29: At least 15 persons were injured, six of them critically, including females in a clash between two groups at Kandi village under Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj district Tuesday.
The critically injured are Mazid Sheikh (60), Sattar Sheikh (65), Abejan Begum (55), Helena Begum (23), Hait Ali (30) and Sumaia Chowdhury (15). They were admitted to Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex.
According to local people and thana police sources, the clash began centering a land dispute between Mazid Sheikh and Sattar Sheikh of same village. At one stage the clash turned serious and both groups used country made weapons like Dal, Sorki, Kattra and Randau etc.
On information local thana police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. A case was filed with Kotalipara police station in this connection.
