15 injured in Sunamganj clash

SUNAMGANJ, Mar 3 (UNB): At least 15 people were injured in a clash between two feuding groups at Chilaura Bazar in Jagannathpur upazila on Sunday night.

Locals said there had been longstanding a dispute between Lulu Miah of Chilaura Samdhal village and Angur Mia of Ashighar village over establishing supremacy.

The clash ensued when supporters Lilu Mia and his brother Ludu Mia tried to beat up Angur around 6:30pm as a sequel to the past enmity.

At one stage, both the groups equipped with homemade arms attacked one another, leaving 15 people from both sides injured.
