15 teams working for eradicating malaria

RANGAMATI, Aug 30 (BSS): Fifteen special teams of health department are working for eradicating malaria from the district.

The teams are working under a programme titled "fight to eradicate malaria" in remote areas to build awareness among people about the disease.

Dr Mustafizur Rahman, civil surgeon of the district, said the team members are motivating the rural people to adopt precautionary measure against the disease. The motivation campaign is being carried out through miking and distribution of leaflets.

In a bid to gear up the drive, the authorities concerned have decided to appoint physicians against the vacant posts in the region.
