SHERPUR, Apr 12 (BSS): A total of 17 wild animals were rescued from Ghazni Recreation Center Zoo in Jhenaigati upazila of the district Friday night.
A team of Forest Department's Wildlife Crime Suppression Unit led by its Inspector Nargis Sultana conducted a drive at the recreation centre and rescued these wild animals from the mini zoo.
The rescued animals include one python, four forest cats, one civet (locally known as gandhagokul), one hawk, five monkeys, one fox and four deer.
